The purpose of Saturday Detention is to provide students with an appropriate consequence (an alternative to suspension) when they fail to follow the Student Code of Conduct.

Guidelines

Students will be on time and prepared to work. Students are responsible for bringing all materials needed to complete their assignments, including notebook, textbooks, pens, and paper.

Students will enter the room quietly and remain on task during the assigned time.

Students will follow all instructions given by the detention teacher.

Students will sit in their assigned seats. Talking, eating, drinking, and sleeping will not be permitted in the detention room.

Students are not allowed to leave the room for any reason; detention teacher will determine restroom breaks.

Students are expected to adhere to all CPSB policies including dress code and electronic device use policies.

Students who are disruptive or unable to follow the rules outlined above will receive additional disciplinary consequences.

Transportation will not be provided
